Montana Money Clip

Went to the Phoenix Grill last week - the decor was more interesting than the food.

They had this front & back postcard framed, apparently from a patron or employee.  If you can't make it out, there's a quarter clipped to a guy's hat with a clothespin and the caption reads "Montana Money Clip".



They had a lot of old-timey stuff decorating the walls.  The other piece that caught my eye was this first day cover from 1944 commemorating the "Golden Spike".  I found it curious that the dealer had written the price
"10-"  on the front.  I guess it doesn't hurt the value too much...

Anyway, food was ok - just kind of bland.

Do you have pictures showing which post cards are new or just arrived?
Would be a lot easer than having to go through all of one kind like Christmas. Ruby Lane shows all the new cards added each day and makes it a lot easier.

Yes, you can view the "New Additions" section. We add thousands of new cards each month, so it's not a small section.

You can also search just that section, plus if you click into a category cards are sorted by new additions first.

"Rare" 1c George Washington & Benjamin Franklin Stamps on Postcards

We get a lot of folks that tell us they have a collection of postcards with "Rare Stamps".  Usually they're referring to stamps like these:        These are usually common  Washington–Franklin Issues , issued from 1908–1922,  Benjamin Franklin 1902 series issued from 1902-1917 and US Regular Issues issued from 1922-1931. Along the Malibu: The Color Serigraphs and Art of Paul Dubosclard

  Just received a copy of this book.  If you're a collector of California postcards, or you've looked through southern California cards at a show you've most likely seen some of these serigraph cards . I had always thought the artist was Margaret Sheehan, since most of the cards are identified as "Published by M. A. Sheehan, Topanga California" on the back. But these distinctive cards are actually attributed to Paul Dubosclard. Although many are unsigned, a handful have a P. Dubosclard name or stamp on the front:     Many cards also have hand-written titles in pencil, presumably by Dubosclard.
